"ART LIVES TORIDE" is a website showcasing artist`s studios in Toride City, Ibaraki, Japan.
"ART LIVES TORIDE" is an online platform showcasing the studios of artists working in Toride City.
There are many unique artists who work with various kinds of materials and live in Toride. In this website, we will show you their ateliers which you cannot usually visit through videos, photos, and interviews. The exhibition will gather fragments of the intense creative activities that each artist creates through repeated dialogues with their own materials and themes.
This website is a beginning.
We hope that you will use it as a platform to first learn about the artists working in Toride, and to create new connections offline, such as new jobs, new activities, and new communities.
*This project was initiated through the "Online Open Studio Project", an emergency measure taken by Toride City to address the spread of the new coronavirus infection.
